BC Fall Creeking Photo Update, The Yukon, 'do it for the love' coming soon!!!

Apologies for the lack of updates. This has definitely not been because of a lack of paddling sweet runs but more due to my own slackness. However it has been a busy while of work now! The kayak school has had an amazing summer and I have been on a lot of amazing trips both with work and personal!
I made the long trek up to the Stikine a few weeks ago. I left very much undecided in my mind. I had not really seriously considered this run this season until Mikkel mentioned it a week or two before we ended up leaving. It is for sure something I have set myself a goal to do and spent a lot of time thinking about it.
We got to the put in at the highway bridge next to the infamous sign. I could not come to a confident decision to put on so I decided not to and hung out with Lianne driving shuttle.
It almost seemed like all the stars had aligned, awesome crew, low water level (unknown low mind you), great weather and great forecast! I just did not feel mentally prepared for the commitment of this run at the time and I am happy with the decision I made. Def a solid goal for the not to distant future!

A bunch of great trips to BC and one of my favorite runs the Yoho Canyon, which I shamefully left my GoPro in the car for....
All in all it has been an epic summer thus far. The weather here in Alberta and BC has not been very summery but all the same it has been a sick paddling season and with unusual amounts of fall rain we are receiving at the moment two of our local runs are back up and running..sick!! Here is some sweet photos from the past couple of months!!!

Enjoy....

fourty 2 fourty Teaser

So I have been super slack with updates over the past two monthes. None the less I have been doing a bit of creeking and had a couple of wicked trips with work.
I am currently just going through all my photos and working on a little video. I will have a sweet update of the past couple of monthes shortly.
For now my good buddy Jase Wright is making a up a sweet little movie from the season.

Here is his teaser for 'fourty 2 fourty'

This will be entered in the upcoming Aquabatics Film Contest and has some sick shots and angles of some local creeking in Southern Alberta here which I am pretty sure have not been shot before!

Enjoy

Have fall boating. Check back for a picture update soon!!

Peace

Mid Season Creeking

So the last few weeks have been epic to say the least. With some amazing work and a lot of it I have had some awesome courses and have also managed to git in some sweeeet creeking on some runs I have been wanting to do!!

Another run down the Big Horn with a more acceptable water level was really nice with a couple of sick lines of curtain call. I also made it down Red Earth near Banff and made a mad dash out to Revelstoke in hope of the Pingston but we got denied with not enough water. Luckily Sutherland Falls was at a great level so finally got to stomp that bad boy.

I have been out with Mikkel and Kelsey while they are filming for Kelseys upcoming movie 'Locals Only" a bunch and it has been sick!

For now I am locked in with work for the next month and off on my epic Adventure to the Yukon and Alaska on the 17th which I am sure 'epic' does not even begin to describe what this is going to be like!

Enough yapping here is a little video to sneak at what I am going to be throwing together for my little film this season to and a bunch of pics. Enjoy!!
